head of the child abuse department at Yorkshire law firm Switalskis, has acted for
victims of child abuse since the early 1990s. He has helped hundreds of survivors deal with the aftermath of their ordeals, the shame and stigma that prevents them talking about what they have suffered, the sense of isolation.
He has successfully campaigned for an inquiry into child abuse. He is an executive member of the association of child abuse lawyers (“ACAL”) and of the support group “MACSAS” which assists survivors of clergy abuse. He has dedicated his career to challenging abusers and to achieving justice for survivors.
