Safeguarding Children Training and Consultancy was established by Adele Gladman, an experienced safeguarding children trainer and consultant. Adele is a qualified solicitor who became involved in practice development and training after a secondment working on a Home Office research and development pilot working with young women suspected to be involved in sexual exploitation. Following that, Adele worked for a number of years for Kirklees Safeguarding Children Board as their learning and development manager. In 2009 Adele launched her own business, designing and delivering safeguarding children services. She has worked across the UK with a range of services including social care, education, the police and health services. Adele has also continued direct work with young people, adult survivors of abuse, and their families.
Adele continues to work closely with a number of local safeguarding children boards and is an approved trainer for several training organisations and local authorities. Adele also sits on the Child Death Overview Panel in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
